I just took some pretty pictures of the sun setting on my street. Take a look see: 11*18*07 My asthma has been acting up recently. I dunno if it has anything to do with my boss not allowing any windows to be opened while they spackled and painted the ceiling next to where i sit at work, but I do know my asthma started bothering me around the same time. I guess it doesn't entirely make sense why that would cause it to act up five days later though. Patrick and I and several other friends finally went to see SonicVision at the Hayden Planetarium last night. I think I liked the experience better the first time around last year when it was just me and Patrick. I still had a good time though. Patrick and I watched Blue Planet on the Discovery Channel when we got back to his place and it was so cool. I'd attempt to describe the neatest-looking sea creature I've ever seen here, but I wouldn't do it justice. Hopefully I can find it on the internet somewhere. Patrick and I were pretty lazy today since it was crappy out. We were lazy all of last weekend as well. It felt good because I felt like we were busy every weekend for a little bit there and I just wanted to relax. I'm really looking forward to having a short work week. Although, I am on-call midnight to noon on both Friday and Saturday mornings. But if I don't get called in, it's easy cash. If I do, it's a pain in the ass, but in the end it's more money. And 'tis the season where more money is needed. Patrick is going to visit his family in Pittsburgh from Wednesday until Saturday morning. I'm going to my mom's Wednesday evening until Thursday evening (have to get back kinda early for my on-call shift). I can't wait to eat mashed potatoes! Yay I found a video on youtube featuring the bioluminescent comb jelly I didn't feel like describing! It's really beautiful.
11*08*07 Pictures: 11*07*07 So Boston was nice. I'd say it was pretty low key, but I felt like we were so tired the whole time because we walked around so much. Anyway, it's very pretty there, but I can't picture myself living there long-term; there doesn't seem to be a lot to do. Not that I even do that much in NYC, but at least I have a myriad of options available to me if I feel like dong something. Then again, we were only there for 2 days, so I'm sure there was more to do than we found. Saturday night we went to Sara's birthday party and watched her friend Kerry dance drunk, which was very funny. The next day we walked around the downtown area for most of the morning and afternoon. In the evening we went to Laser Beatles, then met up with Kerry and Sara for dinner afterwards. As always, Sara was a riot. She was trying to find parking for the restaurant and somehow managed to drive the wrong way on a one way street. The locals thought it was pretty funny, as did we. I can't say the same for Sara. Monday we walked to Cambridge and explored the Harvard area for a bit before coming back home in the evening. I had to drive all the way to Newburgh today for a donor. I took the Palisades Parkway for a change though; it was a beautiful drive, especially with all the autumn foliage. I want to rent a car and go there again with Patrick, I'm so broke though. Stupid money. Pictures from Boston to follow soon. 11*03*07 I'm off to Boston with Patrick this afternoon. I had planned on waking up at 8 to do laundry before I left today, but now that I'm up and it looks so cold and dreary outside, I think I may just go back to bed. I have enough clothes to last me until I get back...and if I don't, I'll buy some more! We're going to laser Beatles tomorrow night. I've never been to laser anything, so I'm looking forward to that. Melissa's friend Sara, who lives in Boston, is having a birthday party tonight, so we'll be attending that. Otherwise I guess we'll just be doing a lot of walking. I'm bringing my winter coat just to be on the safe side. Also, I'm looking forward to riding Amtrak. Makes me feel semi-swanky. I was looking through journal entries from previous years the other day, and I realized I don't write about things that are very personal anymore. Perhaps it made for a better read for others, but looking back on entries like that is, for the most part, very embarrassing. I guess also I try to tone things down a bit when I'm dating someone so they don't get pissed off that I write about our personal crap all the time. But I'm sure I'll have family drama to write about soon enough with Thanksgiving and Christmas approaching. Stay tuned. By the way, David Cross was at Union Hall on Halloween. I was really excited about that. 11*01*07 I decided I could do my costume a little better than I did over the weekend, so I dressed up last night and went to Union Hall with Patrick and some friends. I added more blood to my costume and more makeup. I think it came out pretty good, but decide for yourself:
